The four Orchestral Suites or Ouvertures BWV 1066-1069 were composed by Bach between 1725 and 1739 in Leipzig, though most likely, earlier version were composed during Bach's tenure at C. Together with the "Brandenburg Concertos", these ten pieces represent Bach's entire orchestral output (not counting the various concertos for violin, harpsichord and oboe). And yet, these ten works have come to define the Baroque style at its zenith.
